Networking with Social Media

I am better at and more comfortable networking in person. However, I know that electronic networking through social media is powerful and useful. I might be behind, but I recently discovered Tweet Deck and it has made my life easier. Rather, than going to multiple social media everyday, I can simply make a post on Tweet Deck and my entry is automatically sent to all registered sites (as long as you add and designate that it does so). There are some youtube videos that show you how to use Tweet Deck and it might give you a jump start.
I love networking in-person, and simply use the social media to make more contacts and get more people to Referral Link meetings. My efforts have resulted in new members and increased business being passed in our meetings.
My recommendation, use the tools available, but do not get carried away with too many sites and too much time dedicated to social media. The point is to make contacts in an efficient and powerful format that doesn't take you all day...so use Tweet Deck and get your message out quickly and proficiently.
